What is Birth Boot Camp?
Birth Boot Camp is committed to training couples in natural birth and breastfeeding through accessible, contemporary education. It is designed for couples wanting a natural birth, wishing to avoid a cesarean and for those planning a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Both partners will be prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally to achieve their goals.
Why take a childbirth class?
Women have been giving birth since the beginning of time. Why should they need to take a class to prepare them for something their body naturally does? Many dads have this question, especially when it involves spending money! Unfortunately, many of our ideas about birth come from the media, which rarely presents birth in a positive — even enjoyable — manner. The alarmingly high cesarean rate that is continuing to rise has become accepted as “normal.” It is essential for couples that wish to avoid unnecessary interventions, medication, and a cesarean to know their options and make educated choices. Birth Boot Camp gives couples the tools and information they need and makes preparing for the big day fun!
Why Birth Boot Camp?
-
Birth Boot Camp is specifically designed to help couples prepare for and achieve an unmedicated birth.
-
What sets Birth Boot Camp apart from other programs on the market is that it acknowledges the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of birth and gives couples tools, exercises and comfort techniques to deal with each.
-
Birth Boot Camp supports and encourages VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean) with the most current research.
-
It is essential to have a safe and supportive environment where you are free to express your desires for the birth of your baby. In class you will have the opportunity to connect with others that share similar goals.
-
Birth Boot Camp is committed to ensuring that breastfeeding gets off to a great start and that it is successful. If mother is returning to work, Birth Boot Camp’s breastfeeding education provides her with the information she needs to bottle feed her breastfed baby in a way that preserves their breastfeeding relationship.
-
If you need to miss a class for any reason, special arrangements can be made.
